I Am Losing Weight

There was a time when I was a pro ballerina, in a Russian ballet school. (Teacher was so harsh as hell, she would beat us with a stick). She took children in if they had a poor family background but were talented, which apparently, I was.

At the age of 17 I was so sick, I wouldn't eat for so long that when I did I couldn't hold anything down. By the time I was 19 I was disgustingly skinny... I had no energy and just looked miserable.

So I quit ballet and decided to help myself - and eat until I got better!

Unfortunately this caused my body to be so confused that I blew up and got rather large! But I didn't care, I just felt so much happier now that food was in my life.

It all happened very quickly! I am so lucky to have such good skin that it didn't do any damage!

Now I am pesco-vegan and I go to the gym 5-6 days a week, I feel so much better! I have 28% body fat (Because I believe scales are not a very good indicator) and I want to get down to 22%!

I am very happy! I can fit into things that I was not able to for a long time! I feel like I understand food and my body, and I want to eat healthy! It just feels great to have a juicy salad...

My sister took ballet when she was younger, and some of the stuff she described the instructor doing sounded positively sadistic. Like two girls would hold a third one down while the instuctor stretched the girl's tendons beyond what a person would normally be capable of by themselves. I'm surprised no one was injured.
@LeopoldBloom Yep! We had to rest our heel on a chair and do more than the splits like that. Most of us could but if you couldn't, the teacher pushed you down when you didn't expect it. Really hurt! But I can still do the splits now after years!
@LeopoldBloom Also my teacher would take larger girls such as myself (I was perhaps a size UK 8 and they were a UK 6) and pinch our fat and tell the thinner girls to make sure they don't ever be as disgustingly fat as us. It was rather psychologically damaging...
@MiaMorrow I just don't see how that's safe. I'm somewhat familiar with stretching, having ridden a bicycle for many years, and one thing that was emphasized was to not even go up to your limit, much less past it. One book I had recommended going to around 60% only, and if it hurts, stop.
@MiaMorrow That's horrible. That isn't even overweight - that's well within the normal range.

@MiaMorrow size 8 UK is tiny so is size 6
@SW-User It honestly was very f'ed up.
SW-User
@MiaMorrow yeah for sure now pescatarian sounds healthy enough do you drink milk and eat egg as well as fish?
@SW-User Noooo...milk from the shops is... not even milk. It's cooked and processed, and has pus and blood :( No eggs either.. but if it's in something like a cake then I'd have it. If I cook I never buy it!
SW-User
@MiaMorrow ahh right not sure how much blood or puss is actually in milk noone would buy it if that was true
@SW-User Honestly! - Up to 400 million somatic (pus) cells are legally allowed in each litre of milk sold in the UK !
SW-User
@MiaMorrow hmm ok it’s still treated to be safe for human consumption and depeds on the condition of the cow a healthy animal is unlikely to have blood and puss in udders
SW-User
@MiaMorrow oh cmon..I love milk🤔
