I Have Seen The Aurora Borealis

Driving home from my painting class, that was in an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. No street lights, just dark country roads. I love looking at the stars, but this night I was noticing a very strange phenomenon in the sky. A shimmering moving cloud like thing. I had no idea what it was, and admit that I was more than a little perturbed by what I was witnessing. I arrived at my home and ran inside, found my ex in his usual spot and told him he should come and look outside. He reluctantly followed me, and explained that I was witnessing the northern lights, in what is known as the curtain effect. It was a magical show. I have never seen it since.
