I Wear Glasses All The Time

When I got past 40, my arms suddenly shrunk to such an extent, I was unable to hold a book, focus on it, and read. I've now endured a quarter of a century of wearing glasses for reading, and all the problems associated with that - the greatest by far being:
- forgetting to take them with me whenever we go out for a meal, so my husband has to read the menu to me, and
- forever searching the house trying to remember where I left them.

I now find that car registration plates and road signs have obviously been reduced in size and it's no longer possible to read them from the legally required distance.

I now wear glasses all the time and wonder why, for the past 26 years no-one offered me varifocal lenses with just plain glass for the distance vision? It would have solved all the problems of having to wear them just for reading and subsequently losing them or forgetting them.

The bonus is, my husband says they even make me look intelligent!!!! I was going to punch him but he wears them too so I daren't.

Wearing glasses all the time is not too bad. I do too. I have tried contacts, but do better with glasses on.

They defiantly take some getting used to. The first year from me was the roughest.
