I Love Colombia

What's your opinion on a Colombian moving to the USA? Should they not be threatened deportation if they stay in the USA?

I, personally, have had no bad impression of anyone I've met from Columbia. In fact, I actually do have a friend who is from Columnia; he's a professor at a nearby college. And, in any case, I do not judge people in whole groups; I make my evaluations of people one person at a time.

But...my opinion doesn't really count in any practical sense; the opinion of the people at ICE will count 100%. No matter what people think on this board, whether a Columbian person might be deported will be decided by a government agency charged with that job.

The poster didn't mention whether he or anyone was here illegally or not. As I said in my post, there is a legal definition of whether a foreign person can be deported. If he's fighting a deportation, it's up to ICE. I don't think it's a good plan to go to or live in any country illegally.

There should be no fighting to it. You come here illegally you get deported

@sassygirl15:
I, and the majority of Americans, agree with that. However, the Democrats and left wing people want more immigrants here because they believe the illegal immigrants will eventually provide more votes and political backing for them. And the Republicans and right wing big money people want the illegal immigrants because the illegals will work for much lower wages thus providing cheap labor and breaking the power of unions. That is a lot of power backing the failure to properly enforce immigration laws! That is why most Americans agree with you but so far have been unable to change things. If you've got a solution to this that would overcome the power of both the right and left big money interests, I hope you will run for office and win and solve this problem. It might be hard to get enough money for your campaign, though, with both political and money groups against you.

You have expressed a lot of positive opinions of Columbia and Columbians and a lot of negative ones about The USA and some of its least worthy citizens. Why would you want to move to the USA?
