I Am a Military Wife

And I miss my deployed husband so much. It's not like this is even the longest we've been separated. But every time we are separated hurts more than the last. It's silly. I know. But he's my best friend and my soulmate and I will be so relieved and happy when he gets home.

Separation is the worst part of a deployment. With the knowledge that you await for him and give support will help and will mean so much to him. Remember he wants to be home as much as you do.
@Morningstar45 He will be home soon and that makes it easier.

As a retired service member with over 7 years deployed to combat zones or away for training, I can tell you that he probably feels the same way. It is a difficult life and I have seen many marriages fail because of infidelity or because the spouse who is left alone at home starts feeling as though they have been abandoned. It doesn't have to be that way.

I am willing to chat with you if you like to help you through this. I promise I will act appropriately.
@rhouse Thanks. That's very kind of you. I just needed to say it. When ever I talk to him those words are always on reply in my head and I'm constantly trying to keep myself from saying it to many times.

If you ever want to chat about it, let me know. I think I understand it from both sides. My wife also deployed with the military and left me home alone. It is never easy. @CleverFunnyNameGoesHere
@rhouse I will keep you in mind. Thank you. 🙂
I know my wife could never do what you endure. I can’t even travel over night without her being lost....
@CleverFunnyNameGoesHere LMAO. so she can brow beat me and threaten to leave me on a daily basis. 😒
@SensitiveCha0s I see. Because you like it. 😉 And surely there's got to be days where she forgets to threaten to leave you.
@CleverFunnyNameGoesHere hmmm. I wouldn’t go that far. And those days do happen occasionally I suppose.

Not silly at all. I hope you get to talk to each other while he's deployed. I know when I was in and married, before cell phones and PC's, it was a lot tougher for us to talk. We had to wait till we got back to a hard line phone bank at the Rec Center, but even with today's tech it still doesn't make it easier for you now. Deployment is rough time on all involved.

I hope he stays safe and returns to you soon. My best to you and yours.
@MrPerditus1 we get to text frequently pretty much every day. But it's not the same as him being here. I'm sure he will return to me fine and I'm lucky for that.

@CleverFunnyNameGoesHere No distance communications will ever make up for the absence. That I'm sure of. But I'm glad you have that contact everyday. Just stay strong and this is a great place to share and vent if ever you need.

It's not silly. When you are married it's normal to long to be together. 😄
He's very fortunate to have someone to return home to. 😊
