I still don't get it with this virus

Okay so maybe I just don't get it. I'm watching this thing on my Roku TV, Local Now, and there was an advertisement, something about how to stay safe from ppl who are not vaccinated. Like what?? Are they trying to say people who aren't vaccinated are currently infected with the virus and don't know it yet?

No, seriously, I don't understand it. I did have a test back in mid march of 2021 that said I was positive, but I had what would be considered mild symptoms. Then the symptoms went away... but I still carry the virus? Like, that's what it feels like they are saying. That even though I got better, the virus never left my body, and if I dare breathe I WILL 100% infect everyone around me.

Please explain this to me because I honestly don't get it. I don't want your links, I just want a simple, layman terms explanation.

Advertisements play on your fear and count on your ignorance. A lot of well meaning people don't know what they are talking about.

Being unvaccinated means you are more likely to catch and spread the virus. People who have been vaccinated are less likely to catch and spread the virus.

Just being vaccinated is not a guarantee you won't catch COVID19 but if you do the disease will be milder.

People who have had COVID19 AND are fully vaccinated might even have a stronger immunity to the virus than people who were only vaccinated.

Having had COVID19 in the past makes you less likely to catch it again for 2-3 months but it is not as good a protection as the vaccine.

The best way to prevent the spread of the virus is to get vaccinated and maintain safe measures like hand washing and social distancing.

The differences for vaccinated people: they do not have to wear masks or distance amongst other vaccinated people. They do not need to quarantine if they were exposed to a sick person if they have been vaccinated.

My bosses young daughter caught COVID19 after my boss had been fully vaccinated. My boss was in the same living space and never caught it and she probably would have if she weren't vaccinated.

Plus vaccinated people help cover the people who are too young or sick to get the vaccine.

@Doomflower I was around family and relatives here in the house, that's a total of 4 people. None of those people ever got sick. If I showed symptoms 2 weeks after infection, then I had been infected sometime from March 1st, because I showed symptoms on March 12th. And no one at the time was vaccinated. I think only one family member has been so far.

CONTROL! This virus is being used to control.

It is a bunch of BS.
You are right

This big disease has become an infomercial and "they" are selling something disturbing (surprise surprise)

It might not be about protecting anybody, otherwise why was the Big Disease created in the first place?

Reminds me of when people need extra work they end up working for "apps" and "bots" and occasionally they work. But its not about YOU, the one with the strained budget and the WTF residual in your soul...

know what I mean?

Get vaccinated
People who aren't are more likely to catch and spread the virus, regardless of symptoms.
Vaccines are the best protection against the virus.
Do your part. It's that easy.
