She once told me : "I don’t know why people might keep beautiful words in their hearts, whereas if they said them, fields of roses would blossom in their hearts and those they love !!" My grandma now has Alzheimer’s she forgets every few seconds-minutes. One of the funny things she does is whenever I bring snacks with me to her house they disappear and when I visit next time she gives me them saying : here is a gift sweetie. 😂well thank you. Every time I visit her, she doesn’t know me And even when I remind her she forgets me within seconds.. But whenever she opens her mouth she never fails to make me feel loved beyond words even when she doesn’t know me. She just knows the language of love and kindness. just sweetness and positivity comes out of her mouth. She experienced death of her family friends husband kids and more And lived the toughest life you can imagine But she treats herself like a Queen So everyone sees her as one if not more !
@Moon3624 True it is hard to watch them go like that i think he lived with it for thirteen years and it was only the last couple that he couldn't even get out of bed.
I think visits from you really helps her it must be scary af going through something like that.

She seems like a lovely person! I’m sorry she has Alzheimer. 😕 I’m sure such condition hurts her loved ones more than herself.
@SW-User she has been like this since I was 7-8🥺 mainly after my parents death (My father is her son) and whenever I ask her “ how many kids do you have “ just ti keep reminding her of important info, she doesn’t mention my dad or my uncle who died... It’s really tough but I love her and I can’t imagine losing her

@Moon3624 Jesus girl you’ve been through horrible losses! 😕 My sympathies.
It's a cruel disease. Sometimes, you might witness the "window of lucidity", where they completely return for a limited time, only to go back once again. My grandpa was a humorous man, and, in a Twilight Zone kind of way, once he had begun to display signs of dementia, people discounted his joking as signs of that. But he was there from time to time, and I reassured him that I understood his jokes. It made him smile.
