Our mind/body will think that it is under attack, again when you relive the incidents in your thoughts. Those thoughts, will increase your blood pressure, your angst.
The difference is how long you suffer still, you have the say over, how long you will suffer.
1. Then forgive your self, for been where and when it occurred.
2. Then forgive this person, these people.
We release us from them , when we forgive, those chains that connect you to them, can be less with forgiveness.
Heal you, you freedom to be, to be open to new possibilities than been a victim.
