I Know Why I'm Single

TYPICAL CONSERVATION WITH A NEW YORKER GAL WHO IS MY AGE:

Girl: "So, you seem kindof interesting...what do you do for work?"

Guy: "Haven't found a job yet..."

Girl: "...how are you paying your bills?"

Guy: "I still live with my family."

Girl: "...LOSER, BYE!"

people are judgemental but the guy can say something like he’s working on his own projects, or with an NGO etc

@SW-User People are extremely materialistic and superficial in New York.

Even people who have jobs and their own places seem to struggle to find love because so many women here are after a homeowner with an income that's at least $50K/a year.

@SubZeroSlays808 this is ironic bc I was just reading university brochures from New York 🤣
But it’s the same everywhere unless you can settle for living in a small town

@SW-User There's a little bit of this syndrome everywhere else too? Maybe there's truth to that, but it's especially bad in New York.

@SubZeroSlays808 but maybe you can start temp jobs for now? Ik musicians who are working as animators/event planners by day as people generally look down on any non traditional job

@SW-User I went to school for HVAC. So, I'm looking for a day job in that department, while I do my music hobby.

However, finding a job in that field that is compatible with the musician lifestyle is RARE to say the least.
