Fellow insomniacs, what do you do when you can't sleep?

Simple enough question, I think.

Well I don't worry about dying in my sleep.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Izzi1s: Gotta appreciate the little things.

I smoke weed to put me to sleep, and I smoke it again later when I wake up. (I have sleep maintenance insomnia too).
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@PeanutsauntieP1982: Same, good ol' Mary Jane always coming in to save the day.
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
Damn straight!!!
Smokey · 46-50, M
Stay awake🤓
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
@Smokey: it does, doesn't it? Man, I'm glad Mary-Jane and I are best friends!!
Smokey · 46-50, M
@PeanutsauntieP1982: indeed it does

@Smokey: :-D :-)

Find something that is very boring for you and make an attempt for studying it. 👍
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@matt94: The trouble with that is finding something that's boring to me. I like studying and research in general.

@UndeadPrivateer: same here!!

I once dated a girl that was an insomniac, I broke up with her though because she would never sleep with me.
Jinxey · 26-30, M
I usually think about alot of things. my instance my past (I think about almost every hour) or my future
i come to sw of course
@UndeadPrivateer: yes but i think it makes me be more awake like the radio waves from the computer screen :(
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@AliceinWonderland: Proper sleep hygiene practice, at least as described to me by doctors over the years, dictates that you shouldn't do anything that engages active brain function within an hour of bedtime as the active mind will have a harder time calming down. Which includes all electronics, unfortunately.
@UndeadPrivateer: yes! that is what i meant, but it didn't come out as well as you lol

I tried counting sheep but one was missing so I was up all night worried.

Eat an English muffin toasted with butter, drink some milk, and watch reality TV for two hours. Seems to be my recipe for sleep success, unless I have to get up in 30 minutes.
