How many of you have received the Pfizer Covid vaccine?

My daughter, a nurse, received hers last week and said that she was fine for that day but after that OH HELL NO.
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
My parents, in their mid-80s, both got it. They did not have any significant side effects.
My grand parents have both had it, and didn’t notice any problems.
Andy72 · M
For me
Sore arm
Headache

Some people getting fevers after second one.

Still worth it though. Much less severe than the real thing
@Andy72 Do you know I received a DPT shot recently. OMG, that hurt, not only at the site of injection but my entire arm for at least 3 to 5 days. Perhaps that’s why she said that I should never get the vaccine
G00GLE · 22-25, M
Better than potential death I'd say
It doesn’t prevent death, big guy. @G00GLE
G00GLE · 22-25, M
@KrackerBash didn't say that, did I?
My 78 yr old sister just had both doses and her immune system is horrible, but she and her husband have done just fine.

Just to state in the UK you must be monitored for at least 15 minutes after injection.

My 85 year old neighbour has had two doses, she was mildly fatigued for a couple of days.
Another neighbour over the road had had second dose yesterday, she's been fine.
My son's partner's sister who's an icu nurse has had both too and no effects.
What happened??

Is she alergic to anything??

@Soossie Soosie follow my link to uk information.

First country to approve and first to dose public.

If you look around you'll see the warning to not vaccinate certain people with know allergies - essentially it's the kind of PEG that is the carrier used by Pfizer. Extremely rare, so rare that they can't quantify the risk. But anyone who's had a severe reaction to previous injections should not be given that vaccine.

On uk we've had two cases, both quickly treated and they made full recovery
@SW-User

Thanks God.... and thank you for the link ... Im going to read it and bookmark it.. ❤🤗
Please keep safe beautiful lady....

I haven't but some family members who work in the medical field have, and they had no ill effects at all. Guess it depends on the person, but when it's my turn I will be vaccinated.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Know several people who had Covid, got the vaccination and said it was worse than having Covid.

Same symptoms just more intense.
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster please I'd like to know why there is little reaction in Pfizer (I used to work there and know many who still do) apart from very rare reactions they are getting very little reported.

Surprised me if your experience is true and "several" have suffered I'd immediately suspect a bad batch or poor local handling of it through the ultra low transits.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SW-User You hear about this?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9142877/CDC-Pfizer-investigating-death-Miami-obstetrician-died-two-weeks-getting-vaccine.html
SW-User
@SumKindaMunster as it says cdc and pfe are investigating as a yellow form has been put in.

That's why people who claim they have reactions must ensure a medical professional knows and it is investigated
Elessar · 26-30, M
I wonder if those who experience unpleasant reaction to the injection would be more likely to experience a severe form of the disease, if they were exposed to the pathogen. Or if there'd be no correlation at all.

In any case I'll take more pleasantly the (low) risk of a adverse reactions to the vaxx, than that of exposure.
SW-User
Side effects may be worse in younger patients than the elderly as the immune system gets weaker as you get older and the vaccine prompts an immune response.
rjc36 · 56-60, M
I have heard that a lot of people are having some not so pleasant reactions to it. Especially people with allergies.
Rhonda · F
My doctor neighbour had it and had no problems.
NickiHijab · F
What effects?
Gangstress · 41-45, F
What happened?
@SW-User Interesting. No, she never told me that she reported anything to anybody.
SW-User
@CereBellum as a nurse I find that extremely disappointing that batch may needed retesting
@SW-User Well, she was not the only one to receive that vaccine on that day. From the looks of it, the entire floor was standing in line to received it. She has yet to mention if any of her coworkers also experienced the same extreme symptoms.
Alan got it with no side effects. the only problem is state mandated uses of the excess dose in the vials.
Driver2 · M
@saragoodtimes side effects don’t all happen right away
@Driver2 he's almost ready for the second dose
Close friend received 2nd dose yesterday. Suffering chills, aches and pains today. An expected side effect that will pass.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
i'm not getting it unless my job makes me
@DeluxedEdition Your job cannot mandate that you get the vaccine. However they can make you wear a mask indefinitely if they want to.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
@CereBellum but they make us get tb and other vaccines? (not the flu) what's the difference?
@DeluxedEdition The only profession that I know if that requires you to receive certain vaccines etc. are those in the healthcare profession. I know I used to be one. If I refused to get the flu shot, then I would either be on mandatory leave for six months or be required to wear a mask for that duration. In so far as the TB issue, you are only required to take the test to see if you are positive for the infection.
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
I haven’t received any version.... not even the bleach one.
SW-User
I got my vaccination and I was fine.
@SW-User Pfizer?
SW-User
@CereBellum Yes. I took at Moscone Centerr, San Francisco.
Azlotto · M
I will not be receiving the vaccine because I've already had Covid.
SW-User
@Azlotto Erm

You might want to look at the recent research on that.

You're 83% protected if you've had the virus but timing is questionable probably up to 5 months.

Now Pfizer gives you 95% protection. Longevity to he proven but they believe 12 to 18 months
Azlotto · M
@SW-User I'll take my chances.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I am unfamiliar with the medical definition of OH HELL NO.
