I have been diagnosed with kidney disease stage 2

While my doctor said it was nothing to worry about cuz my kidneys are still filtering good! I am going to take action now so it does'nt progress in other stages of distress,i only found out i had it cuz it was written on my health records, just wish doc would've of told me & explained it more etc...
Well, if he (or she) had done that, you might have been treated sooner, and there wouldn't have been as much chance for the doctor to have made as much money on you. The medical and pharmaceutical businesses can't make money without illnesses and repeat customers.

Well the good news is that won't kill you nowadays I know a number of people who live ordinary lives whilst having to go on kidney machines they still are alive.

@kayla68 Going back many years to when I was a young boy my neighbour Christine was in her twenties she died of kidney disease it was very sad, people did in those days and they all seemed to be young people in their twenties the world has moved on and will continue to move on maybe one day you'll receive a new kidney.
Once kidney damage occurs, you can’t reverse it. However, you can prevent further progression.
You should read about it.

I got diagnosed borderline stage three a few years ago. With slight changes in diet, increased fluid intake and a change in blood pressure medication I was able to reverse some of the effects. There is a lot of information on line to help .

@kayla68 Mine was high and unchecked for too long. In fact I need a renal sonogram plus blood and urine tests when this quarantine is over. But my nephrologist said it can wait.

@kayla68 I gave up sugar years ago. I was shocked at how much better I felt. It's what kept me going.

@curiosi If i may ask,how were u ever be able to get away from sugar? Sounds like i have to read labels more,i just wonder if stuff with ingredients like cane sugar is any better?
curiosi · 61-69, F
@kayla68 I found myself as a single mother with very limited income. I learned how to cook everything from scratch. Not only was it cheaper and healthier, I had my kid in the kitchen for together time.
I used cane sugar and we did bake, I always tried the recipe the first time with half the sugar called for. Sometimes I could even reduce it from there.
