Does old scars from surgery hurts even if it's been years?

I have a cyst remove on my left breast almost 7 years ago and it left a scar. I'm not sure if it's the cause but my left breast have been hurting lately. I'm afraid that there's a new cyst. Or was it just because of the scar?
