I have to get an MRI today and I’m really scared

No problem at all, seriously. It's like having a photo taken of your ankle. No pain, no stress, no claustrophobia, nothing intrusive. Wash your feet (at least the relevant one) and wear clean socks.

They aren't too bad, especially if it is on your ankle. The tech will tell you what to expect and how long you will need to stay still. Let them know you're afraid. I hope it's nothing too serious. 💜

They are pretty easy, they even gave me music to listen too when i had mine...🙂

And pay no mind to the hysterical man trying to scare you. MRIs don't USE radiation.

Don’t be scared. They’ll put headphones on you & have you listen to music. The hardest part is staying still. And don’t drink water 45 min before your appt. You don’t want to have the urge to tinkle.

I love getting MRIS it's like the most peaceful chamber and they will play music for you.. it's almost like being a retro-futuristic movie.. like fucking Logan's Run or something like that

It isn't bad. The machine is noisy and some people are bothered by it, but really it's not a big deal. Not uncomfortable or scary. I've had 3

i feel ya... i have severe claustrophobia, so they have to give me open MRI’s. if you have claustrophobia, ask for a sedative, or for a reschedule open MRI.
