My husband grandparents were dairy farms and live in a very old farm house. The grandkids worked the farm all summer. I was raised in the country in update NY.
No farm but lots of adventures on our 30 acres and surrounded by 3 apple orchards.
Kids need more of this. We played from morning until dusk most days.

It's too bad that way of life is becoming a thing of the past... I wouldn't trade being a country boy for anything!
