I Love Old Things

I was out hiking with my boyfriend and we found a place near my house with a whole lot of Native American pottery, took a picture of a few really good pieces over a blanket

how do you know they're old

Well
1-who really makes pottery like this anymore
2-who scatters in in the middle of a desert miles away from civilization
3-all it takes is a little research
4-found some arrowheads too which helped to date everything @marcusaurelius

@GlitterBug My grandparents farm was a treasure hunt for us. I still have arrowheads... tomahawks (just the sharpened rock parts) and other native American stuff we found as kids. It was so much fun looking for those things and we couldn't wait for my grandfather to get "Muley" out and walk behind him as he plowed the fields each year. Those are some of my best memories.

@GlitterBug idk, I've made some arrow heads in my time.

You gonna go stick them way out in the middle of the desert though lmao @MartinTheFirst

@GlitterBug well, you shoot arrows, and you usually shoot them where people aren't around to be hit by them

Sure but the pottery? The tools? Found a handaxe and a grinding stone at one point. You gonna put all that stuff out there? @MartinTheFirst

@GlitterBug we once went out to a midieval themed area where people got together to do all of the above-mentioned

not saying it's the case for you but it's possible lol
GlitterBug · 22-25, F
I suppose it could be possible but the area lines up with it being authentic, couple tribes and lots of native land around here @MartinTheFirst
