ugh . . . what logic is there with wifi being linked with chores? the 2 have nothing to do with the other

@GirlSerendipity When chores are done then there is time for fun.

@StrictSouthernHOH 1st, wifi isnt in itself ‘fun’ . . . its a utility that can be used to do homework or pay bills or check the weather or whatever . . . its like saying ‘im going to cut off the house electricity until chores are done’

2nd, you can set a deadline for chores if you need to and let whoever figure out the order to do things in

Bills can be paid by phone or mail. If homework truly requires internet use, said use can be limited and closely monitored, with the wifi password being changed when homework is done. Electricity and internet access are entirely different. I'm not sure how a logical comparison could be made between them.

The deadline in the OP's case is whenever the wifi password is wanted.

@StrictSouthernHOH they are the same in that they are both utilities. neither is inherently ‘fun’ or ‘not fun’. both can be used in helpful or harmful ways. by itself it is a neutral thing. it depends what you do with it. so cutting either off for a completely unrelated reason makes no sense

@GirlSerendipity It makes perfect sense as an incentive to complete chores.
