Have you ever had a crown done at the dentist?

Yup. Had my first a few years ago and it was miserable. They had a lot of trouble getting me numb, but felt relieved to finally have that temporary one slapped in. And yes, it feels really odd until you get your real crown.

Unfortunately for me, I had to have that sucker done twice because the first crown had a defect that wasn't caught until my next visit. And sure enough, that nerve was just as sensitive the second time around. Now that I do have my crown, I cannot tell now that it is there.

I have had 7 crowns done. The temps feel funny some times but I have not had any real problems with them.

Please go back and get it fine tuned, you deserve a comfortable fix!

My wife had one done and has had no problems
