I Love Honesty And Straight Forwardness

Is The Glass Half Empty, Half Full, Or Twice As Large As It Needs To Be?... Why is it that people have such a hard time being straight forward with others? Most people who think they are being straight forward, are really just being rude!People who are brutally honest, usually get more satisfaction from the brutality than they do the honesty. A truth told with bad intent is worse than any lie you can think up. I find that it is better to show someone the lesson you are trying to teach them by using analogies because when you try to show people how something they are doing is wrong… they tend to instantly jump into a defensive mode because they feel as though you are attacking them. When someone is being attacked, all of their mental resources gets poured into either playing offence or playing defense, leaving no RAM (Random Access Memory) to comprehend what you are trying to say to them. The best analogies are the ones that parallel the situation you are trying to convey in nearly every aspect, I call tbse “compound analogies.” Sometimes it is better to find more abstract analogies, this is why I love the fact that I make unorthodox connections to just about everything. My mind works faster than most people’s so while they are wrapping their heads around a situation, I am playing the connection game in my head. It is a lot like six degrees to Kevin Bacon, I think of as many connections as I can everyone else is ready to move on. It is not something that I do on purpose, and nobody else in the conversation even knows what I'm doing. Unless one of the connections I have made comes flying out of my mouth… that usually just changes the topic of conversation.
