I Am Unemployed

I decided to be brave enough to quit my management job to find something within my degree field. Here it is a month and a few days later, I'm still unemployed. I don't regret it. I'm just disappointed for not landing anything. I had one lead for a job I really wanted but I haven't heard anything back in a little over 2 weeks.

Keep trying; I hope you find something you are looking for. I have something not in my field, but realized it is not what I truly wanted after graduating. Money is scarce right now and so work is the option to have; again, best of luck in all your endeavors.

@Mert5356: Thank you so much for your kind words. It means more to me than you know. I wish you nothing but success on your journey as well.

In the meantime, do as I did. I looked on the internet for a phone actress job and did that until I found a job, and after I started working I still did it in my extra time for extra money. There are many places to do that.

@MaryQueenOfScots wait, what is a phone actress?

It is always easier to get a job if you already have one.

@hippyjoe1955: Surprisingly,that isn't true anymore.

@thepixiestixs: It remains true. My job is getting people jobs and the best way to do so is find them temporary work so the employers look more favorably.

@hippyjoe1955: Thanks for the tip. I am going to be approaching the job market soon looking for part time work at the age of 73. Maybe it would be best to try a temp. job first...? I have a retired teaching credential, degrees in English and a CJ degree, plus a 25 year teaching career and other job experience.
