I Hate My Hair

I have barely ever done anything to my hair and have done my best to protect it yet I have hair that is experiencing a lot of loss and thinning. I was just told the other day that my hair is too fragile to dye even though I haven't bleached my hair heavily already. :/ I have naturally oily hair and I at least want to be able to change the colour. I have been suggested by a hair stylist to cut a lot of my hair off (even though I have almost always had short hair and finally have some length again) and also to see a doctor to find out why my hair might be so unhealthy as it could be linked to worse issues.

I know there is not much I can do about it but I just need to rant. :/ I haven't got much I like about myself so really being able to at least do something nice with my hair was the least I wanted.

I can understand the sadness you feel I really like playing with my hair and being able to have it cut into different haircuts and I would be quite saddened if I was starting to have hair problems.

Clynol does lots of products for hair thinning and loss. Expensive but worth it. Try amazon

Have you ever thought about seeing a dermatologist? Poor thing. I am so sorry about this happening to you.

@ChocolateSauce: To be able to see a dermatologist I would first have to see a doctor and get a blood test first :( And blood tests scare me (I have never had one)...but I guess I will just have to do it. Thank you though :)

@LittleRebz: blood tests aren't as bad you would think. The key is to relax, if you're tense the needle struggles to get through muscle and it hurts. If you relax and look away it's over and done with within seconds. You can get vitamins directly from any pharmacy or supermarket that are specifically meant for hair, nails and skin. You are likely to be lacking in a certain vitamin/mineral, stress also reeks havoc with skin/hair/immunity/digestive system so maybe you need to look at life style changes. I also advise trimming hair to get rid of dead ends but maybe not a drastic cut. Layers make hair appear thicker too.

@AutumnxRayne: Thanks :) I recently went to a hair salon and got some advice, my stress has been decreasing and my hair's condition has improved a lot lately so I think it was more related with stress XD
