Yeah, I think its the inferiority complex thing. Also, younger guys worry that their buddies will razz them over it. I rarely wear heels, but it's not because I'm tall just because I'm a klutz and my balance isn't great.
Generally, I find that elderly people are cute. They will make sweet little comments about my height and my figure.
It is hard for girls who are very tall. I'm nowhere near as tall as you, but I basically slouched my way through my teens. I'm 28 now and my mother still says, "Don't slouch!" It wasn't poor posture as much as wanting to be invisible and not on "display" all the time.

I think that if shorter people do think that, it's because looking down on them as tall people do, and I'm 6'5", they get a sort of inferiority complex which might make them think that way, although personally I'm not aware that I have ever had that effect on anyone!
