I Am Not Religious

I don't understand why do Christian priests and Muslims imams hatred against leggings. Time and again, those idiots were questioning the women's clothing, calling it unholy and asking them not wear it. Dude, who the hell are you to tell that, mind your business.

Organized religion is pretty misogynistic anyway, and seeks to control everything about women and their bodies. One of the many reasons I no longer participate.

@bijouxbroussard That's true I guess, I doubt you'd want to be a woman in the society of let's say the united Arab emirates where you cant go outside by yourself. Even nature hates women, it punishes you for not being pregnant each month.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic lol. Have you ever been there? I have never herd nature hates women, it punishes you for not being pregnant each month.??

@aaaabbbb Have I? No, a simple research over sharia law would answer your question. The second sentence is not even a question, but to answer what you possibly are trying to ask, I meant it as more of a joke, being showered with hormones while cramping and twisting in pain while your junk bleeds might bring you to the thought that someone hates you. Then again some women have menstruation so light they barely make a note of it.
@bijouxbroussard yes, some religions do,. However, if you study deep the time those messages came about people lived in dark ages and were used to guide and protect women and family culture.

Today's modern society is actually worst for female rights, as it has turned her into a biggest sex symbol i the name of so called freedom, naked women and sex sells. Socially corrupt Society, usues women in sugar coated wrapping.

@aaaabbbb BUt current society gives women a freedom of choice, something they lacked before and if they are "loose" it's their choice to be so.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic ohh sure society does, that is why the society only sells sex.

Let me give you an example. A wk ago i went get clothes for my soon to be teen age girl, all i kind find, the shortest, most provocative and skin baring clothes,. Shocked in disbeleif i compared it to boys clothing, totally different size and shape.

What business society is telling women go get naked, be a service to hormone raging teenage boys...

@aaaabbbb I'm perfectly sure there are other choices but that for your daughter and not only revealing see trough clothes, you have to guide her until she is an adult but in any case it is not your place to tell how women in general should dress or behave. Sex sells that's true, but it sells to women, they want to look good, all you have to do is not purchase that type of clothing, for the rest hope your upbringing keeps her uninterested in "looseness"
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic looking good does not mean show skin. Grace, elegance and true beauty does not come from showing off skin. Go back 100yrs ago, women looked gracel, beautiful in the dressing they had.

I do not tell women what to and what not to wear, i just find it is odd that the so called modern and developed society a naked woman or a women with most skin shown as most attractive.
@DrSunnyTheSkeptic
Even nature hates women, it punishes you for not being pregnant each month.
True, and many religions further punish women by isolating them and labeling them "unclean" due to a natural occurrence of which they have no control. (Leviticus 15:19-33 )

@aaaabbbb you should know it's the same society who prays to God and then looks into playboy magazine or rapes women. Also sexual aggression increases when women are shamed when seen naked or wear something that shows skin. Do you know the religious people also had consorts for them?

What's wrong with showing a bit of skin? Why is that idea slapped only on to women and not men?
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@aaaabbbb You make it sound like all women walk around in a bikini in their normals lifestyle, where that's not the case. Anyhow, you can make notes of it as much as you want but what can you do about it?
DrSunnyTheSkeptic · 26-30, M
@bijouxbroussard I actually find it rather humorous to avoid a woman like she's a plague carrier when she's menstruating, I mean it would be funny if it wasn't sad. I've only heard this occur in Eastern countries. Either way women have reached a long way since then and they can enjoy their freedom in modern democratic countries.
However, if you study deep the time those messages came about people lived in dark ages and were used to guide and protect women and family culture.
"Protect" ? "Guide" ? No---control. It's not the same thing. Religion and culture defined a woman's role, and forced all women to acquiesce.
Today's modern society is actually worst for female rights, as it has turned her into a biggest sex symbol i the name of so called freedom, naked women and sex sells. Socially corrupt Society, usues women in sugar coated wrapping.
Wrong. Women can choose now. There is nothing demanding that they dress provocatively but their own wishes. Demand drives supply---not the other way around. I'm making the distinction between adult women and underage girls, btw. Modern society is much better when it allows grown women to make their own decisions and doesn't confuse them with children. And it's perfectly reasonable for children to still be "protected and guided" by their parents. Although in terms of "hormone raging teenage boys", those not taught to respect girls and women are not necessarily deterred by modest clothing. I was harassed in my Catholic school uniform (which I never altered) and women in hajibs and even burkas are sexually assaulted.

There are several websites that sell "modest clothing" for girls and teens.
