I Work In Retail

This evening a customer came in and bought a zippo lighter and fluid. Then he refilled it to overflowing and deliberately lit his hands and arms on fire.

He shook off the fire and said it didn't hurt. Then he said he wasn't a weird guy.

I had to air the place a bit because the smell was strong. It's just surprising that the fire alarm didn't go off.
It wouldn't hurt if it's done quickly enough... he would have just burnt the vapors off, in the same way as Christmas pudding.

@HootyTheNightOwl OK. It looks like a circus trick that wouldn't be very safe though.
@purplepen No, it's not safe and not something that should have been done in a shop. Hopefully, this guy was told to take his custom elsewhere in the future...
The act of doing it in a store indicates he definitely is a weird guy.

Did he pay cash?

Has he been back? @purplepen

@jackjjackson Not yet. He probably does the same stunt at lots of different places. My coworker said he had a waxy chemical on his arms that stopped the flames from burning him.

Must need attention. @purplepen
