I don't want to get to know anyone. Not anymore. There's no desire to ask the same old questions of someone new; hear the same old answers. Blah. Blah. Develop a new connection only to have it abruptly severed. Which is invariably what will happen. I don't want to be left standing awkwardly in the shadows again while the next "whoever" slinks off into the sunset laughing and eating Cheetos. *sighs*
