I Need a Cigarette

I ain't smoked in over a year but been cutting back on drinking lately and that's made the cig cravings come back stronger, so I ended up buying two packs of KOOLs yesterday, I hope it just stays at the two and doesn't become anything more. At my weight my heart can't afford me becoming a serious smoker again.

@SW-User I'd like to not use any nicotine at all. I mean I did quit smoking, I just need to keep having quit smoking. Vaping ain't healthy either.
@SW-User With everything we’re hearing about vaping in the U.S., anyone trying to stay a nonsmoker shouldn’t start that, either.

@SW-User But our AMA and CDC have been rather proficient. For example, they helped debunk the original report connecting vaccines and autism.

@SW-User If anything, pro vaping industry (like Juul) has the cigarette companies and money backing them, so they really have more power.

@bijouxbroussard no, that's false. The people who had bad effects from vaping vaped black market THC, not actual vape juice. The NHS has stated vaping is a much safer alternative to cigarettes.

@bijouxbroussard Also cigarette companies do not sponsor most vaping companies and are vehemently against them
@basilfawlty89 Not all of those reported in the U.S were vaping THC.
@bijouxbroussard And Juul Labs, one of the biggest sources of pro-vaping propaganda is a cigarette company.

@SW-User You mean if people could smoke, etc, without fear of lung or throat cancer ?
ChubbyCheesecake · 26-30, F
@SW-User If cancer was cured tommorow, whoever cured cancer would make a fuckton of money.

@bijouxbroussard The vast majority were, odd how the NHS in the UK advocates vaping over smoking and they have no issues. Vape juice us literally just propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, nicotine and flavouring. The only products that contain anything else are from illicit makers of vape liquid and pods, not actual reputable brands.

@basilfawlty89 Nonetheless, not all of the reported vaping casualties were from THC. Vaping is still new enough that we’re finding out the longterm effects. Considering what we now know about smoking (and when I was a kid commercials had doctors endorsing specific cigarette brands), better to err on the side of caution.

@SW-User I think you could probably charge more than a dollar for the cure for cancer and people would buy it.

@ChubbyCheesecake If there was a profit in a cure, we'd have it well by now.

@SW-User What was your question? If the only choice was to cure cancer for a dollar or keep it quiet pharmaceutical companies would probably keep it quiet but that's not very realistic. Even drugs that don't do barely anything sell for a lot in this country.

@bijouxbroussard I've been vaping since April and I have no health issues, in fact my health improved since I stopped smoking cigarettes.
