I Believe Work Is For Work, Not For Home
I did something incredibly stupid tonight. I accidentally locked the keys in the work car. I parked up the car, and did a few odd jobs before my shift ended. Next moment, I realised I hadn't put the keys back, and you can guess where they were.
This isn't the first time I've done such a thing to car. Except, this is the first time I've locked the keys in a work car, and there was no way I was earning that reputation 😎
I ran to my car, where lay my little bag of tricks, aka my tools lol
I tried a few things, before knowing my "bag of tricks" didn't have what I needed; until it did.
I noticed the door was a little 'flimsy'. So I jammed a screwdriver into door, creating a small opening. The gap created by the screwdriver was big enough to fit a small metal bar.
No word of a lie, it probably took about 2 minutes at the very max to Jimmy the lock. Best part was that there was no structural damage 😏
I looked at my phone and noticed I had about 15 minutes before my shift ended.
Amazing how great you can feel after correcting a mistake. Plus the adrenaline of breaking and entering 😂
