I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

Have you noticed that most people seem to think they're being mistreated if they don't have their way about everything? It seems like people will bully and try to push you around until everything is their way. They could care less that they are being unfair, unreasonably selfish, or mean. The attitude is, "Only I exist. You exist to either give me what I want or get out of the way." It's one of the reasons I'm not a big people person. It seems most people only want any kind of relationship on their terms and that's it.

I'm dealing with someone like that right now, and it's unbelievable. We're on a board of directors together, and it's often the majority of the board voting differently than she does. She takes it as a personal affront and keeps rehashing the issue because she didn't get her way, and then she undermines the board with others, telling her version of the facts so they take her side. It's immature, unproductive, and frustrating.

Yep and those are the ones who won't even see it in themselves, they blind to how they are. They are that self centered.

@Magenta Even though I know it's human nature I can still be amazed at people's selfishness. I could never treat someone like they didn't count. Like everyone else, I like things my way but on the other hand I wouldn't feel right always having my way at someone else's expense.

Sometimes it still shocks us, the depths of it. Some have deeper levels of being self centered and are usually also not self aware.
