I just had the most exciting lunch date I could have ever imagined.

I ran into an old crush the other day at the supermarket. We once had an on again off again mutual interest in each other quite a few years ago.

Last one being he wanted to date me steady and I wasn’t interested in him at the time. We just never could get on the same page as one of us were always married.
He then became involved with someone else and eventually married her. The marriage didn’t work out and was short lived. He has tried to reach out to me via Facebook several times to go out for dinner. I have chatted with him some, but when he got to the seeing each other again question, I always ran scared as a rabbit. I use to be head over heels on love with this man. It was just always bad timing for me.

So face to face in the supermarket last weekend, where I could not run away, we made a lunch date for today to catch up on both of our lives.

He picked me up and I was very nervous, and I think he really liked seeing me that way. As my heart raced, he told me he could tell I was nervous. He had always been a looker. Many girls had crushes on him and he has broken many hearts back in the day.

Here he was as as handsome as ever. Dark brown eyes and hair. He was sharply dressed and smelling good. My heart melted. He tried to make it less awkward for me by joking around and calmed me down a little by reminiscing about old times. We laughed about funny old times. But still on the inside, my heart was racing and my palms were sweating.

He took me to the best local restaurant available that was open for lunch. He opened the car door for me which wasn’t necessary but I went along with it. As we walked up to the door of the restaurant, he had his hand slightly touching my back leading the way. I thought please let me do this without fainting.

Inside after we ordered our meals and waited. He told me how much he wanted me to be his back then, and I blushed so much my face stung.

All in all I became comfortable with him and it turned out to be a lovely time, tho short as he had a business meeting.
He asked to see me again this weekend and I said yes.

I don’t know where all this will lead but it’s time to take the plunge and let what will be, be.

It’s time to live and love again. I couldn’t be more thrilled at the moment. Life is good.

I do hope this will not be a mistake.
