My most recent such call was the old "I'm from Microsoft and you computer's reported...." lie.

He was quite the bully and as my 'phone has no blocking feature, it took four attempts to make him give up calling back.

He had an Indian-sounding accent but that, or any other national generic accent, means nothing these days; and indeed I tracked his number gained by the 1471 function, to a portable 'phone registered to EE in my own country (UK).

@Bigbass77 Telling such types that you don't the property they are talking about, soon gets rid of them.

Years ago most nuisance calls were to try to sell doubl-eglazing or conservatories, and the most common little white lies seemed those about living in rented accommodation, a caravan, third-floor flat or similar making the proposed alterations impossible.
