I Am Not Afraid Of Getting Shots

When I use to do my painting and drywall gig we would work in a few apartments that had water damage cause of the pipes being old and then it being bottom apartments.

We worked in some rooms that did not have the fan for the AC unit so we would be working in heat in July. Zero circulation. We would open the doors and windows but it was still miserable feeling.

Well I worked in a few by myself and with the apartments being empty for so long and having the doors, windows open of course little creatures would look for a home.

I was painting the walls, doing trim, moving on and off the ladder to hit the corners, closets, restrooms etc.

Come to find out, I was getting bit by spiders. I had a bad bite on my leg that it was turning purple so I had to show my boss/friend and he advised me to go to the doctor to get it checked out. It was a bad bug bite.

The hospital was telling me it wasn’t a spider bite but it was definitely a bite of some sort so they gave me a tetanus shot. I never in my life had a tetanus shot or had to get one till that day. When the nurse told me that he had to do it, I whined a bit but I had to stop and think I have tattoos and piercings all over. I made the nurse laugh 😂😂

You like drywall finishing?
Asm0deus · F
@jetpack hell yeah man. I made great money in that area. Loved doing the drywall finishing, repairs, mudding etc.
@Asm0deus I'm a plasterer and drywall finisher myself.
Yeah, there's a ton of money to be made in that trade.

@jetpack you ever had to use stilts for a job? Lol
@Asm0deus

Me wearing small stilts for 8 ft ceilings holding my talls for 12 ft.
Asm0deus · F
That’s badass! I never was able to try the stilts. We had ladders 😒 @jetpack
@Asm0deus they are actually easier to walk in than most people think. The springs and jointed foot make walking feel more natural. It's the fear of falling or tripping that scares people into not wearing them
Asm0deus · F
@jetpack I bet! I would’ve loved to have tried them. But where we worked at they only supplies ladders and they had tall ceilings.
@Asm0deus yeah, we use scaffolding for anything over 12 feet. Just safer.
You be safe out there.

@jetpack thanks same to you 🙂
