I Have Cried Myself to Sleep More Than Once

Those early weeks after Dean was killed were the worst. I would be strong all day but once Dylan was in bed I would sit in silence and darkness and think about Dean. I would stare at the door hoping he would walk in and tell me it was all a bad dream. Then I would go to bed and it would feel so big and empty without him in it with me and I would cry myself to sleep and my eyes would be sore when I woke up. I still cry at night from time to time thinking about what we had and what might have been.
