It would be nice. I had my own housecleaning business for thirty five years. Cleaned other people's homes five and sometimes six days a week. I actually loved my job. I owned the business so I could be picky about whom I would have for a client. I didn't keep clients I didn't like or I felt didn't like me or my work. I had some clients over twenty years. And watched their kids grow from newborn to high school graduates. But now, I'm retired. I have sciatica, and back trouble. Yes. I would love, not a maid, but definitely a once a week cleaning lady.

@Serenitree: Oh wow. Very impressive to run a business for 35 years! Sorry to hear that you have back problems. Why don't you get a cleaning lady?

@Mugin16: because I feel compelled to clean before a cleaning lady arrives. I know. I'm a dolt. But. I'm a lucky woman. My daughter loves visiting me. She does my laundry and vacuums for me. She tidies too. And then I make us a nice dinner. Where she lives right now is an uncomfortable situation, so she stays with me a couple of times a week and does some of my work.
