13yr Jack Davis who is in hospital seriously ill with cancer loves superheroes and wanted to meet a real superhero for his birthday ‘ but Jack was very upset when he wasn’t able to due to covid restrictions ‘ so his family posted on Facebook explaining jacks birthday wish and if anyone could help ‘ his mum got a response from the Hinckley times saying they would post an article asking if the towns vigilante “ the Renegade would call him “ that night jack get a call from a withheld number it was “the Renegade” ‘Jack said “ his voice sounded electronic ‘ I knew who he was I was shaking and nervous’ he wished me happy birthday and apologised for not being able to visit me in hospital but then told me to go to the window ‘ and there he was outside!!!!’ The nurses were amazed and jealous he asked me to put my phone on speaker which I did then he said “ happy birthday jack and to all the doctors and nurses keep up the good work your the heros “ he said bye then waved as his disappeared into the dark” Jack said it was the coolest birthday ever getting to meet the hero he follows ‘ how he got the message or jacks number like his true identity remains a mystery
