I Loved You Then, I Love You Now And I Will Love You Always

I am into the seventh month of separation from the one and only person in this world I love. Anyone reading this who has suffered through such a separation could know how it affects you in so many odd ways. For me it is always the fear I have not told Nika I love n]her often enough. When I have that feeling I try and find a song to sned her that can show how I am feeling at this precise moment.

I had in my mind a single lyric from a song that I had never heard completely and did not know the name of the artist. I could not sleep tonight (naturally) so decided to finally find it and send it to her and it was amazing easy. It was the great Billy Joel's "For The Longest Time"...

"I don't care what consequence it brings
I've been a fool for lesser things,

for the longest time..."

Ohhh...so perfect! Every lyric was exactly how I felt tonight. I could never express myself so perfectly.

She has not replied yet of course cause it is past 1 am in Prague now but at least she will wake up and have a perfect expression of my love for her. And that is worth losing any amount of sleep over!

BTW...is the attractive black gentleman a heavily made-up Morgan Freeman?

Our first winter together Nika and I were walking arm in arm and looking pretty good I think...long coats, fedoras, scarves and gloves...and two English girls approached us who were as is said in Czech "obvious" and hit on us. I was still new to all this including even romance as I had never been in love before and didn't know what to do but Nika just laughed and said "Who do you think we are...LESBIANS?" and we blew right past them.

Almost three years later its become of our private jokes...when one of us starts getting romantic the other will sometimes say "Who do you think I am...a LESBIAN?"😊

@KiwiBird God no...never! I only want my Czech goddess, as I call her. Besides which Nika asked if we could have what Czechs and Slovaks call a "hermetical" relationship ... you and me and that's it, apart from family, in everything. Besides Nika and I so fill the space around and between us there just isn't room for anyone else,🤗

@KiwiBird Well thank you. She was 22 and I 20 when we met and have always called Nika "the older woman" to tease her. I have written about her a lot here usually attached to music.
