I grew up in a really abusive house. Don't have children myself but many years ago my brother broke down in tears when his girlfriend became pregnant. He was so scared, so scared he was going to wake up one day and suddenly turn into a monster and hurt his child. As I told him the fact he was worried about EVER hurting his child meant he was going to be a good dad, he has three now and he is a very good father.
Similar thing with you worrying, you would make a good parent. I'm not saying you should because that's a decision we all have to make for ourselves.

Kids are a big responsibility. The fact that you are considering all of this suggests to me that you will make a fine parent should you decide you want to be one.

@Strawbrary Trust me should you decide to have kids you will screw up we ALL do. They are resilient and with a loving parent both you and them will be fine. Of course it won't feel like that sometimes but it will be.
