I Love the Outdoors

My dad I stopped at Snowdonia National Park yesterday on the way back from school. There are some wild ponies there which are used to graze the heathland and keep vegetation under control. They are quite friendly, but they are still wild.

I saw some American tourists feed one of them an ice cream cone, which is forbidden because it makes them too familiar with humans and liable to wander into the road where they will be run over ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Of course, one ice cream cone is not much for a hungry pony, so when she had finished her treat she investigated the tourists' car for more food ๐Ÿ™„ At which stage they got angry and started shouting ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

It is one of my favourite places and I am glad you got to see it! ๐Ÿ™‚ I have some new walking boots and I will climb to the summit some time this summer when it is a little cooler.

I didn't mean to criticise American tourists in particular because many people get too close to those ponies. They are not protected as such, but they do an important job and deserve to be treated with respect ๐Ÿป

Pepper spray is a good idea. I actually got cornered in a field by some cows this morning ๐Ÿ™„ That does not sound dangerous, but when you are only little and barely taller than the cows who are taking a keen interest in you, it is a bit frightening ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ
