I Want to Know What Advice You'd Give Your Past Self

The Past...

When the past hurts come up for me in my memory I ask myself what is it for. Why do we keep remembering past hurts?

There are different reasons people come up with to try and understand it and move on to a happier life.

We are complex individuals! Depending what we were taught and what our beliefs are about them is how we continue to keep them haunting us or letting them go. It's never easy to face the past especially if you were treated unfairly.

We blame ourselves, we blamed each other and we blame God for the harsh things we go through in life. The answers always lie within us. When we have others who have gone through things and have made peace with themselves and the world, they come into our lives to help us to overcome and rise above ours. If we are willing and allow them to help us we will come to an understanding of what they were there for and why we had to go through some things.

The problem I had at times was denying myself and trying to bury the hurts which caused much confusion and making choices that may or may not have been the right ones.

I don't believe there are any accidents. I believe things happen to teach us what this life is for and about.

When I chose to love regardless of what happened or didn't happen to me personally, my denial of the past stop and I learned that what was, was and what is, is!

Learning to live is a process. Some learn early on to accept and trust. Trust becomes an issue when we deny what's in front of us and we look at others to 'fix' us instead of helping us to understand. To listen to each other without judging is to help.

Realize your true worth and you are able to deal with life and life becomes a joy. To realize your true worth takes patience and encouragement from each other.

We don't understand everything and to think we do keeps us from learning the steps we need to rise above our circumstances or experiences.

You ARE worth the LOVE you want!
