I Miss My Youth

I do at times.

I am now considered wise but have the same brain that was considered young and foolish. The difference is time.

I coach athletes to run fast when once I flirted with a 4 minute mile. The difference time.

My picture on here would have turned heads; now I’m seen as an odd old man. The difference time.

I once played on the floor with my children, listening to them laugh. Now, if I’m on the floor they are helping me up. The difference time.

Today I see clearly what was recently cloudy; time made all the difference

Today I remember what then was only yet to be; time made all the difference.

Today, I care about making others smile when then I smiled for others. Time made all the difference.

Today I celebrate life with all its ups and downs when then I lived only for the ups.

Time
Time
Time

I am so grateful for time.
