my work put me on the schedule tonight without telling me or anything, i didn’t know i was supposed to work until i had people asking where i was 😅 i’ve never been so upset

This is really upsetting. Not you being the cat mamma, but the way these employers shuffle their staffs without much/any prior notice. They write that
you should be available at any time we want you
in fine letters in their employment contract. When people are looking for jobs they just don't know or don't care what they are getting into, later it becomes a bother.
