I Like Hamsters

One of our two pet hamsters has died 😟 We will bury her in the garden today after our house meeting 😔

The younger girls are sad and a couple of them have been very upset 😟 I am worried about the surviving hamster and I hope that she does not get lonely or depressed. If it is likely to be a problem, we will ask the school to buy us another girl hamster 🐹

I am very sorry to hear that one of your pet hamsters has died. ☹ I hope that you had a nice memorial/funeral for her. I also hope that the younger girls who have been sad or upset feel better soon, and that the other hamster does not get depressed or lonely at the absence of her friend. @eftelingrose It turns out that we have quite a few "spares" elsewhere in the school following the accidental pairing in another house of a boy and a girl hamster 🙄 So we are trying to introduce ours to a new little sister and see if she is happy with that 🙂

How are the hamsters getting along now?

@liondog She has been fine and doesn't seem too concerned to be on her own. So we will leave things be for the moment. School holidays start next week and all pets will be rehoused temporarily, whether they like it or not. So she can make some new hamster friends over the summer break 🙂

@updown2020 It's the 15 younger girls in our house, me and Katya, Miss Thomas. We need to talk about school uniform rules because some girls have been wearing inappropriate clothing outside the house 🙄 Mainly we will talk about the hamster.

Sophie is fine. She is going to pick me up from school when have finished 😌
