I Am Going Round In Circles
Circles
by:Rob Paquin
The world winds it's way around. Spinning off into infinity.
The sun rises, wanes, and sets.
Repeatedly.
Things change, yet seemingly remain the same.
Faces pass me by.
Some smile as they go.
A few pause long enough to become friends.
But eventually, one by one, go, they do.
All the many seasons of life visit, and revisit again.
The summers and winters of sophisticated souls, serving as reminders.
A perpetual pathway, paved with platitudes, pleasantries, and pain.
Life's rains, drowning desires.
Lending life to newer pursuits.
Like a snake eating it's own tail.
A never ending cycle of smiles and sorrow.
