I Have a Special Needs Child
Today would have been C's first appointment with the psychologist her PCP referred her to. I was/am a bit hesitant as I find it hard to wrap my mind around a nonverbal 2..well almost 3 year old getting that kind of therapy. But on the off chance that it can help with her anxiety I would take her to a thousand doctors. On another note, she is currently out of her AFOs as she is no longer toewalking...at least not as much. She is however intoeing and her left foot rolls over. Next stop is the pediatric orthopedist.
On to D, he has been moved to a different spec ED class, as he was doing so well in his other class. Still straight A's but spelling is something he has to really work at.
Both have been picking a lot lately and have bloody lips. I've wondered how much they are feeding off of each other. They have figits and chewies that help a bit but it's still hard to watch a child get stuck inside themselves and hurt themselves in any way.
But..one day at a time.
