I Have a Special Needs Child
So I have to take Lucas for treatment Saturday Night. It's Christmas Eve but I think it'll be ok. The children's hospital he gets treatment at is always so festive. He asked me if Santa will still come if he's not at home asleep, I assured him I'll make sure we get home before Santa gets here.
The antibiotics are already working. He's been bleeding less, there's not as much blood when I change him, he hasn't had a bloody nose or anything today. hes been refusing to eat at all lately, we've had to use his G tube three days in a row, so I'm not sure what's up with that, might be a reaction to the antibiotics but I'm not positive. He's been clapping and singing Christmas songs which is so cute. I've been using Christmas and Jesus as a reason to try getting him to share something with me or Dylan. So far it's kind of working, I had to talk him into giving Dylan his ball. I mean he did do it but the goal is to get him to want to share not feel like he has to or is being made to. But it's progress. He's been bouncing around the room, he's super excited about Christmas. When he's excited or really happy and he's sitting on the ground on his knees he'll use his upper body to bounce around on the floor. He really only has slight control of his upper body, his Lowe body every movement is involuntary. It's the cutes thing when he's bouncing around, It makes me happy to see him happy. He's really happy cause he discovered his advent calender only had three flaps left and he knows that means Christmas. He always get a ton of presents on Christmas morning, our family loves him so much I've been getting a ton of deliveries all month, a few were for me and Dylan but almost everything was for Lucas. So I can't wait for him to see it all Christmas morning. Dylan and kaitlyn will do the wrapping while we're at the hospital Saturday night so I'm really happy and thankful about that, I hate wrapping.
Well that's pretty much about it. Thanks for reading my blog Merry Christmas
