I Have a Special Needs Child

Well Lucas will be spending the day in his room. He started hitting Dylan just because Dylan was looking at his book that he got from school. He also has a problem with sharing and is really possessive over his things. Dylan asked him to stop hitting him he continued, I came over and told him to stop, Dylan removed his hand away he tried reaching over to hit him again, that's when I picked him up and took him up to his room and I put him on his bed and I explained to him that we don't hit and that he needs to be punished. I mean he can't hurt you even he hits, he doesn't have much muscle strength but he still isn't allowed to hit. He was crying a bit cause he knows he's in trouble but I think he fell asleep cause he's quiet now. I hate having to punish him but he knows he can't put his hands on others. Being special needed doesn't excuse it.
