I Battle Inertia
Oh Inertia, my eternal enemy. Your mere existence keeps me at a standstill just waiting, always waiting for some outside force. Then what? My outside force finally comes along like a knight on a white horse, only we collide and I find every action has and equal and opposite reaction. So in motion I am finally set. What of my white knight? Well Inertia, there you are again we are both set in motion, though in opposite directions. Oh the tragedy you reign on us Inertia, for unless somehow only one of us is acted upon again by an outside force hurtling us towards the other, and by chance we both then find ourselves oh, I don't know circling a black hole like a binary star, then I should never meet my white knight again.
And that's not the worst of it Inertia. The days, the long and dreary days that I wait to be acted upon, they become weeks, then months, years, decades. Inertia, you cruel beast. How dare you make me wait for some unknown force??? Then with the littlest of effort that force thrusts me forward and until I slam into some other still object who has been waiting, I am at your whim. I am always at your whim.
