I Am a Huge Jethro Tull Fan

Saw them in Bangor Maine in 72
helenS · 36-40, F
The following Tull songs are known to me:

— Locomotive Breath
— Life’s a Long Song
— Songs from the Wood.

They’re all great.
Unfortunately, in order to really appreciate those, I should have been born earlier, so I could be Living in the Past…

@OldHippie You mean the whole album or what?
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@helenS yes
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@helenS Yes. The only interruption is turning the album over
eli1601 · 70-79, M
Saw them in New Haven, CT in 70 or 71. Not just the best concert I ever attended, it was the best by far.

Saw them in San Francisco early 80's

I wonder if Ian can still stand on one foot like he used to....Saw them at the Dane County Colosseum in 1984
goliathtree · 56-60, M
He was a madman. (Hopefully, in his 70's, he still is.)
goliathtree · 56-60, M
@goliathtree And he did Cross Eyed Mary sort of the way you described in Madison.

@OldHippie Same with the concert I saw. The song was"My God" from the Aqualung album which starts out acoustically, then BOOM
I missed the concerts but loved the music.
Aqualung dominated in the 70s.
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@SomeLikeItHot That was their only top 40 hit. they weren't the kind of band that was in the top 40 much
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@SomeLikeItHot I forgot Bungle in the Jungle, the only Tull song I never cared much for
@OldHippie I was referring to the whole release. As I am sure you know there were many other jams on it ie locomotive breath et al
HerKing · 61-69, M

OldHippie · 61-69, M

So is my step-dad. We saw Ian Anderson a couple of years ago and it was fun!
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@daisymay The only band besides the Moody blues that featured the flute. Saw his Thick as a Brick concert
helenS · 36-40, F
@OldHippie I’ve seen some Genesis video footage from the early 70s, with a young Peter Gabriel playing flute.
saw them 4 times as a yoot
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@DuchessOfMapleSyrup I would have if I could have, you're a lucky guy
OldHippie · 61-69, M
