Time took away the idea from her
That she was no longer a beauty
I could see before me
A woman lost in a faded memory
A touch of her face to pull the age away
I leaned into her ear..
To remind her and say:


The night was lit by silver moon
Flicker of candle light danced on walls
and filled the room

Darkness fell in the corners
Chased away by the light of her smile
Which lingered just inches away

Candle light danced from her breath
The spring breeze to a summer’s day

Fireflies in her eyes
And bounced from the most beautiful wanting face

As the distance closed
I could feel the touch of her wrinkled nose

Never has such a taste
From such a beautiful mouth
Been such a memory
I would ever live without

In the inches away
Feel the memory of my yesterday
The gentle breeze turned to a winter cold
And the soul of ages past still in my heart
Will forever last

While the vision faded yellowed by time
