I Quit My Job
About last year I decided on taking a one year break from school because I didn't really know what I wanted to do anymore, Let's just say I was completely lost.
I didn't want to stay home and do nothing either so I started working as a waitress at this Pizza place.
It was my first time working as a waitress so the first few days were not easy but I got used to it, I didn't like it but again I got used to it.
Now let's talk about my Boss, my boss seemed really nice at first but after a few months he really started working on my nerves. I mean who likes they're boss? but this was different this man wasn't professional, he didn't know what he was doing most of the time but got mad when we made mistakes and at last he was such an abuser, he acted like we were robots.
Quitting was something I wanted to do a long time ago but I really needed the money and its kinda hard to find a job out here.
So yesterday I was preparing for the day and my Colleague was moping the floor and out of nowhere my boss asked if I could clean the restrooms, I said No, I won't clean the restrooms. So he asked Why not? and I answered, Because that's not my Job. (My Colleagues do clean restrooms but I don't because it wasn't written in the contract) He didn't say anything and I continued on doing my job.
Later at the end of my shift he called me into his office and told me that I didn't clean the toilets. I told him again that I won't be cleaning the toilets. He said either you will clean toilets or I will get fired and added that he will give me some time to think about it. I am a very consistent person so I told him again that I won't clean the toilets.
He told me that he will let me leave when he finds someone to fill in for me and I was not about to get fired, I asked for my check and told him that I won't be coming anymore.
