I Quit My Job

I LOVVVVE a good "I quit" story.

Hating your job is the worst. At 38, I have three great memories of leaving awful jobs. One friendly I hate my job discussion that resulted in a nice severance package, one angry I've had it I quit and one being fired and being so happy I thanked my boss for releasing me of my misery. They were all wonderful.

I’ve never had the big “I quit” moment, but I certainly know the feeling of leaving a bad environment behind me.

I also know the confusion of being laid off without warning, being angry about it but being relieved at the same time.

@JoeyFoxx Aw, sorry to hear about the lay off confusion, but glad you were relieved about it and I'm sure a better door opened after that.

My lay off was a fake one. After I told my boss that I hated my job, we agreed that he would call it a lay off so that I could receive a severance package. Can't get that if you quit :)

@Dionysus that’s a great story on its own!
